Site specific

The site-specificity relates the project’s characteristics to the peculiarity of the place. A project is “high site specific” if it can not be replayed elsewhere due to its specific features which link it strictly to the site. These are often permanent projects, like restauration of specific buildings, with a strong relation with the context, the use of local materials or the custom-made solutions applied for the situation. Then, there are some projects strictly related with the kind of space in which they are thought and designed, but not at all with the place where they are, like generically urban voids, abandoned buildings (medium site specific). On the contrary, there are projects which can be repeated everywhere thanks to their adaptability due to the use of common and available materials, and the apply of  prefabricated modules (low site-specific).Some projects get even mobile that means totally detached from the site. (no-site specific)
